Independent singer-songwriter Maria Rosa La Kakiee releases her fierce new single, Trigger My Aria, a hip-hop/pop anthem that channels her personal power and resilience into a bold, unfiltered musical statement. Produced by Mike Midura at Cyber Sound Studios in Boston, the track showcases Maria Rosa’s signature ability to turn life’s challenges into an unforgettable soundscape.

My triggers! For my haters and backstabbers—they fuel my fire. They trigger my aria,” Maria Rosa explains. “I cut off anyone who doesn’t have my best interests at heart. Love me correctly, or get the steppin’. My time is precious, and I protect my peace by any means necessary.”

Written and performed spontaneously, the track emerged from a moment of real-life conflict and bullying. “I went into the studio and freestyled it,” Maria Rosa recalls. “It was a mood that day, and the result is pure honesty and fire. Fool me once but not twice—Trigger My Aria is about clarity, self-preservation, and turning pain into artistry.”

Toronto-based singer-songwriter Katie Dauson announces the release of her highly anticipated seventh studio album, Dauson City Gold Rush — an eight-track collection that blends rock, folk, blues, country twang, and yacht rock into a shimmering display of musicianship and heartfelt storytelling.

Versatile and genre-defying, Katie Dauson has long been known for her ability to weave together threads of rock and roll, surf rock, rockabilly, folk, and bluegrass, crafting songs that feel both timeless and distinctly her own. On Dauson City Gold Rush, she pushes her sound even further — offering a warm, melodic, and deeply personal record produced and engineered by James Nickle.

“This album changed so much from where it started,” says Dauson. “It began as one thing and evolved completely by the end — but that’s what makes it special. Every track has its own little story.”

Dauson City Gold Rush finds Dauson writing, composing, and performing with a clarity and confidence that comes only with experience. She penned all eight songs herself and played rhythm guitar on every track. The album’s sonic palette moves gracefully between heartfelt folk-rock storytelling and buoyant, nostalgia-tinged rock anthems.

The album’s title track, Gold Rush, is an instrumental piece born from a spontaneous jam session with slide guitar — a moment of pure creativity that captures the spirit of the record. “My dad heard me playing in my music room and insisted I record it,” Dauson recalls. “That’s how it became the title track.”

Other standouts include:

  • Scene Stealing Casanova – A wry, upbeat take on writer’s block, turning frustration into fun.
  • Just Another Love Song – A melodic nod to classic love songs by Paul McCartney and other greats.
  • Noah’s Rainbow Road – A fusion of Dylan-esque lyricism and 80s rock textures.
  • Sail With Me – A breezy, Buffett-inspired tune that became a family favorite.
  • Searching for Love – A shimmering 80s-style rock ballad born on a Toronto subway ride.
  • Daddy Long Legs – A blues-inflected reflection on personal growth and redemption.
  • Sing a Song – A Britpop-tinged closer that captures the album’s spirit of joy and renewal.

Each song on Dauson City Gold Rush tells a piece of Dauson’s story — one that spans years of writing, performing, and finding her voice across styles and influences. “I’ve always loved mixing genres,” she says. “I don’t want to be pinned down to one sound. Music should feel alive and unpredictable.”

The album’s cover, photographed in Toronto’s High Park during early spring, captures Dauson’s natural, unfiltered style. Originally meant for social media, the shot’s organic beauty perfectly matched the album’s spirit — authentic, grounded, and golden.

Rising artist GRACE. unveils her debut album, Hourglass Plea, a deeply personal and tender exploration of the fleeting nature of time. Written during one of the most challenging years of her life, the album serves as both a diary and a safe haven — a place where grief, love, and closure meet in quiet conversation.

“I wrote Hourglass Plea during one of the hardest years of my life — a time when I was processing grief and heartbreaks that eventually gave birth to this album,” shares GRACE. “It became my safe space to process grief, love, closure, and everything in between. Each song feels like a page from my journal — vulnerable, gentle, honest, and deeply personal.”

Through a collection of ethereal soundscapes and introspective storytelling, Hourglass Plea invites listeners to sit with impermanence — to grieve what’s been lost, to embrace what remains, and to find beauty in moments that will never come again. Each track offers a sonic reflection on the bittersweet truth that not everything lasts forever, and perhaps that’s what makes it all so precious.

Drawing inspiration from the emotional intimacy of Clairo, Olivia Dean, Cleo Sol, Bruno Major, and Laufey, GRACE. crafts a sound that is both cinematic and deeply human. Her voice carries the quiet ache of nostalgia and the fragile hope of acceptance, blending dreamlike melodies with heartfelt lyricism that lingers long after the final note.

“This album is for anyone holding on to something they weren’t ready to lose but had to let go,” says GRACE. “If you’ve ever known the heartbreak of moments that won’t return, I hope Hourglass Plea reminds you that it’s okay to feel it all — to miss, to remember, to grieve. And if you still have your people beside you, I hope it reminds you to hold them a little tighter.”

Hourglass Plea is more than an album — it’s an emotional passage through time, a gentle invitation to honor life’s fragile, fleeting moments. Through her social platforms, GRACE. will continue to share the stories behind the songs, offering listeners a deeper look into the heart and healing that shaped her debut.

A POEM INSIDE ‘Hourglass Plea’ VINYL:

Not every moment is meant to last, and maybe that’s what makes them beautiful. The way the sun lingers just before setting. The way the full moon decides to appear on a sunset. The way the birds fly together. The way we love, knowing nothing stays the same.

Some people come into our lives like a passing storm—beautiful, intense, and gone too soon. You try to hold on, to capture every moment, but time doesn’t wait. And so, you cherish the fragments—their presence in a memory that refuses to fade.

Maybe forever was never ours to keep. Maybe all we ever had was a fraction of them. And maybe… that was enough.

and so if forever’s not in the cards.. then I’ll cherish

a fraction of you

 that once was mine,

forever.

but in the case I still can’t let go…

I hope that maybe our time will come.

not today,

but maybe someday.

Rising Filipino-Australian pop artist ALEXIS returns with her explosive new single “u sure like to make me feel crazy”, a synth-soaked breakup anthem that blends biting honesty with irresistible pop energy.

“I wrote this song about a previous relationship I had where I was constantly second-guessing myself and I felt like I was losing my mind. It’s a brutally honest reflection on what it means to lose yourself into someone else’s chaos and the clarity that comes when you finally step out of it,” ALEXIS shares on the release.

Written by Alexandra-Isabelle Barrientos (ALEXIS), Aidan Hogg, Alieysha Dulcie Nicholls, and Giulia Mclean, and produced by Aidan Hogg (GFlip, The Beaches), the track is a brutally honest yet irresistibly catchy anthem for anyone who’s ever questioned their own reality in a relationship. Liam Quinn (Peach PRC, Ruel) handled mixing and mastering.

The single arrives alongside striking visuals created by long-time collaborators Justin Cueno and Junaid Mohtaj, continuing ALEXIS’ signature blue motif. The photographs fuse surreal and chaotic imagery, think lawnmowers, freezing hose water, and a stomped-on cake, embodying both the humour and heartbreak of the track.

“u sure like to make me feel crazy” marks another bold step in ALEXIS’ growing catalogue, following the success of “Blue Jeans”, and “HATE IT HERE”, which received airplay on Triple J’s PRISM and Unearthed, and editorial support from Apple Music’s Pop Chill, New in Pop, and Relationship Goals playlists.

ALEXIS has previously collaborated with an impressive roster of Grammy-nominated and ARIA-recognised producers and writers, including Dan Gleyzer (BTS, Noah Cyrus), Aidan Hogg, Liam Quinn, Hugo Silvani (Palewaves), Hugo M Hardy (Nieve Ella), InKid (Zara Larsson), Albin Clern (Gryffen), and Tyler Murray.

Her work has been spotlighted by publications such as Earmilk, WHYTT Magazine, The Luna Collective, melodrift, Sonic Sisters Magazine, The Other Side Reviews, and Urbanista Magazine, earning over 60,000 Spotify streams and placements on individually curated Spotify playlists with over 20,000+ likes.

With “u sure like to make me feel crazy”, ALEXIS cements herself as one of Australia’s most exciting new voices, pairing emotional rawness with euphoric pop energy.

Blending ’70s rock ‘n’ roll swagger, Britpop spirit, and Americana warmth, Freeman’s sound continues to explore universal themes of truth, love, freedom, and spiritual connection.

The Reconnection EP runs 14 minutes and 1 second, featuring four tracks — Not Tomorrow, Bluebird, Redemption Song (a moving reinterpretation of Bob Marley’s classic), and Two Witches. Together, they offer an introspective yet uplifting journey that showcases Freeman’s signature blend of raw emotion and melodic craftsmanship.

The release sets the stage for Freeman’s forthcoming full-length album, Gift In The Shadows, expected at the end of 2025. Described by the artist as his “most personal work to date,” the album will delve into themes of redemption, acceptance, and finding light in the darkness.

Critics have already celebrated Freeman’s music for its authenticity and emotional resonance. Indie Buddie praised him as “instantly swayable and charming with an infectious buoyancy,” while Huffington Post called his work “an overwhelmingly contagious quality that is hard to shake off.” Indie Pulse added, “His music has that fun-loving zeal for life. Definitely an artist to follow.”

To coincide with the new releases, Freeman will embark on an extensive world tour beginning in late 2025, covering Europe, the USA, Mexico, and Argentina. Promising what he describes as “immersive, connective gig experiences,” these performances will merge music, meditation, and spiritual reflection, offering audiences more than a concert, but a shared moment of healing and connection.

For Charlie Freeman, life is music, and music is life. With Reconnection, he reaffirms that belief, inviting listeners everywhere to join him on a journey back to the heart of what matters most.

Dan Thomas is a Folk Singer-Songwriter with an unexpected edge. With a background in Hard Rock and Heavy Metal, his music fuses the grit and passion of Punk Rock with the heartfelt storytelling of Folk and Country. On stage, Dan is electric, bringing the energy of a stadium rock show to the intimacy of an acoustic guitar. The result? Big choruses, raw emotion, and guaranteed sing-alongs that bridge the gap between head-banging rockers and the coffee shop crowd.

As Dan describes it, “If you were to draw a Venn Diagram between Rock, Folk and Country, and point to the spot in the middle, this is where you’ll find me.”

His new single, “Is It Enough Yet”, is a candid exploration of the pressures and insecurities that come with being an artist in the digital age. Written during a period of reflection, the song tackles the endless cycle of comparison that social media fuels, the feeling that no matter what you achieve, it might never be “enough.”

Dan explains, “As an artist writing and performing original music, it often feels like an uphill struggle. On social media, it looks like everyone else is achieving more, moving faster, reaching higher. But I know they’re looking at me and thinking the same thing. That’s the cruel trick of social media: we compare our real struggles to everyone else’s highlight reel. That’s what this song is about: that nagging feeling that it will never be enough.”

With its heartfelt lyrics and powerful delivery, “Is It Enough Yet” is both deeply personal and universally relatable, an anthem for anyone who has wrestled with self-doubt in the face of constant comparison.

On October 17, Norwegian pop artist MARI will release her debut EP between the lines — her most personal and fearless work to date. The project takes listeners on an emotional journey from intense teenage heartbreak and loss of self to strength, self-respect, and artistic rebirth.

“I didn’t feel respected or heard. I had to break free and find my way back to myself.” That’s how MARI describes the heart of between the lines. The debut EP was born from years of processing a turbulent relationship that shaped her late teens. As she explains, “When you’re a teenager, a relationship feels like your whole life. The emotions are so strong — much stronger than people often realize. For a long time, I thought I had to be perfect to be loved, perfect for a boy to like me.”

What began as a painful and isolating experience eventually became healing. The writing process forced MARI to revisit wounds she once tried to suppress: “It felt like almost three years of my life were a fever dream. I needed distance before I could write about it.” Throughout the making of the record, she faced countless mini-breakdowns in the studio — but each one helped her reclaim her own story. “It was tough to relive it all, but at the same time healing. I grew while writing and singing about what I went through.”

The EP unfolds like a diary told in sequence — opening in confusion and heartbreak, then breaking apart before slowly rising again into empowerment and self-worth. Its closing track, goddess, is both a personal victory and an anthem for others: “It’s not about me being a goddess — it’s about every woman deserving to feel like one.”

For the first time, MARI has taken a stronger role in shaping both lyrics and melody, and together with her talented collaborators, the result is a project that feels more intimate, vulnerable, and fearless than her previous singles.: “Before, I often told my story to other songwriters. This time I wrote it myself — and you can hear that.” While rooted in contemporary pop, between the lines dares to move beyond trends, blending emotional honesty with a cohesive, modern soundscape.

between the lines was mainly produced by MARI’s brother, who at first found it challenging to hear his younger sister sing so openly about love and heartbreak. But he encouraged her to be fearless and honest. Alongside songwriter Kristine Willassen, who co-wrote every track, the team created a safe space that allowed MARI to be vulnerable, brave, and artistically free.

Alternative rock outfit Make Out Monday return with their brand-new single ‘Back to the Feeling’, a shimmering, nostalgic anthem that fuses 80s-inspired soundscapes with the band’s signature pop punk energy.

Written by Zack Shada, Seth Renken, and Ezra Behrens, ‘Back to the Feeling’ began as an acoustic riff from drummer Seth before evolving into a full-bodied track powered by Zack’s soaring melodies and nostalgic lyricism. Produced and mixed by Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount, and mastered by Ted Jensen, the single pays homage to 80s icons like Tears For Fears, The Cars, Genesis, and Don Henley, while still firmly rooted in the raw emotion and energy that defines Make Out Monday.

Thematically, ‘Back to the Feeling’ reflects on longing for a lost moment in time, a relationship preserved as memory, impossible to relive but unforgettable all the same. Despite the sombre sentiment, the track pulses with optimism, pairing heartfelt lyrics with uplifting instrumentation designed to capture that euphoric rush of nostalgia.

“It’s about trying to return to a time, place, or feeling you can’t get back to,” says vocalist Zack Shada. “We wanted it to sound hopeful even in its melancholy, like rewinding the tape of your life.”

The single is also laced with a cinematic nod to Back to the Future, one of the band’s favourite films. That connection comes full circle on October 25th, when Make Out Monday will debut the song live at a special Back to the Future 40th anniversary celebration at the iconic Twin Pines Mall filming location. The band will also release a music video, featuring a DeLorean and a nostalgic journey through their own memories, as a playful homage to the cult-classic movie. Fans may recall the group’s previous Back to the Future–themed video for Kissaphobic (2018), which went on to amass over 8 million streams.

ABOUT MAKE OUT MONDAY

Hailing from Los Angeles, Make Out Monday blend the urgency of pop punk with the shimmer of 80s-inspired alt-pop. With over 20 million lifetime streams and a global fanbase built from appearances at comic cons and tours across the U.S., Europe, Australia, and the Philippines, the band has carved a unique space in alternative music. Their single Twixter climbed to #1 on KROQ Locals Only, and they were voted Most Popular Pop Punk Band on KLOS.

The band has performed alongside legends such as Run-D.M.C. and New Politics, and headlined major events, including a show for 5,000+ fans at Asia Pop Comic Con in Manila. Their track record also includes features on All Time Low’s popular podcast Full Frontal.

Fronted by Zack Shada (vocals), an accomplished actor and voice artist known for roles in Lost, Adventure Time, Grey’s Anatomy, and more, alongside Seth Renken (drums) and Ezra Behrens (guitar), with collaborator Nathan Bramsway on bass, the band continues to expand their sonic palette while staying true to their roots.

With ‘Back to the Feeling’, Make Out Monday have crafted a nostalgic yet forward-looking anthem that feels both timeless and urgent, a reminder that even if you can’t relive the past, you can always bring its spirit into the present.

London-based multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Sam Uctas has released his uncompromising new album, The Dark Made Sense, a record that strips music back to its essence: raw, unrefined, distorted, noisy, and deeply human.

Recorded entirely by Uctas, every word, note, and fader move, the album stands as a pure line from artist to listener. With no outside interference, The Dark Made Sense reflects Uctas’ vision of music as art in its truest form: imperfect, alive, and honest.

Inspired by Hemingway’s Iceberg Theory, Uctas kept the songs direct and uncluttered, leaving space for the listener’s imagination to move within the grooves. “In a world that feels ever more fake, I am trying to create music that is real,” he explains. “Music that lives and breathes.”

Working primarily with analogue gear and avoiding digital polish, Uctas has crafted a sound that defies genre boundaries. From the grit of rock and funk to the atmospheric edges of avant-pop and art rock, the album embodies wild, unbridled expression, resisting the formula-driven pressures of today’s music industry.

Rising R&B artist ZT returns with his new single “AFTER PARTY / AFTER HOURS”, a smooth infusion of pop sensibility and rich R&B textures. The track dives deep into the artist’s own lived experiences, balancing the highs of nightlife in London and LA.

My music is about storytelling from my own perspective as a human,” ZT explains. “This song reflects my party life, but other records I’ve made tell stories of true heartache. Both sides exist in me, and they intertwine in ways I think a lot of people can relate to.

The single was produced by Grammy-nominated, platinum producer Riley Urick, mixed by Grammy Award-winning engineer Bob Horn, resulting in a track that feels cinematic yet intimate, anchored by ZT’s commanding baritone voice.

ZT has already caught the attention of tastemakers, with A&R Factory noting, “ZT joins the ranks of artists like The Weeknd and Frank Ocean who know exactly how to turn vulnerability into something magnetic.”

With comparisons to The Weeknd, Giveon, and Chris Brown, ZT carves out his own space in the modern R&B landscape. His half-English, half-American background and lifelong immersion in music fuel his ability to merge timeless soul with sleek, contemporary production.

ARTIST BIO

There’s something powerful about music that feels both familiar and new—where timeless emotion meets a modern voice. For ZT, a half English, half American artist shaped by two cultures and a lifelong connection to music, that balance comes naturally. His sound blends soul and polish, intimacy and impact—anchored by a voice that demands to be felt as much as it’s heard.

ZT is a modern R&B and pop artist whose rich baritone voice sets him apart in today’s soundscape. Born into a family of musicians, his love for singing began early and grew into a passion for telling stories through music. With every note, ZT channels the depth of emotion that comes from lived experiences—transforming love, longing, and heartbreak into something listeners can feel. His voice isn’t just an instrument; it’s a vessel for vulnerability, honesty, and soul.

Drawing inspiration from the complexities of relationships, ZT’s music blends smooth production with raw emotion. Each song is crafted to echo the moments that define us—quiet confessions, late-night doubts, the thrill of connection, and the sting of goodbye. With an unmistakable tone and a dedication to authenticity, ZT doesn’t just sing about love—he invites you to feel it in every form. This is music for the ones who’ve been there, stayed too long, left too soon, or never stopped feeling.
